So many schools do not give enough time, funding and resources for creativity!
This FACT drives me nuts!
Utterly wrong & frustrating that the arts are so under funded & under valued in many schools
In reception class my son had a creative corner! A fun colourful messy area full of tissue paper, paint, glue, clay, crayons & sticky tape
From year one, this area vanished! Into thin air!! WHY?????
Why is creativity valued & looked upon as important one minute & then the next minute it’s scrapped, put at the bottom of the pile??
WHY???
I feel this is wrong, damaging & going against our human nature!!
I’ve run my business Parsley Pie Art Club for almost 17 years and time and time again I hear the same thing from kids ……….
“We hardly do any art at school”
“when we do art it’s boring and we can’t use our own ideas”
“the brushes are rubbish “……….
The kids are frustrated, annoyed and they don’t think it’s fair and I agree with them!!
