INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Paint toilet rolls green all over, then using the toothbrush flick white paint on to all the toilet rolls to make it look like snow, or you can use your fingers to cover the rolls with little white dots!

Leave to dry.

2. ADULT: Bend the coat hanger to form a circle

3. ADULT: cut each toilet roll in half length ways

4. attach the toilet rolls onto the coat hanger then tape and/or staple to secure

5. next start to thread tinsel through the toilet rolls, and tie to secure

6. now into the garden or your local park to get some ivy! ask an adult to help you cut it, you will need about 10 lengths

7. ask an adult to help you weave the ivy in & out of each toilet roll

leave some ivy dangling down and poking out to make your wreath look nice and full and bushy!
if you have enough tinsel you can tie a few extra pieces inbetween the toilet rolls & the ivy to make it really sparkle!

8. start cutting holly leaves & berries using the card. Then paint the holly leaves green & the berries red!
(you’ll need enough leaves & berries so each toilet roll has 1 or 2 leaves and a few berries on it)

Leave to dry.

9. using glue, stick the leaves and berries onto the middle of each toilet roll

Leave to dry.

10. To finish, tie a bow with a ribbon on the top of your Christmas wreath if you want to!

All done! Now to hang your amazing masterpiece on your front door or where ever you choose!

Make a colourful decorated plant pot for Mothers Day. With help from dad, find things from around the home and garden shed to make your mum a very special and useful gift!

MATERIALS NEEDED:
• Newspaper
• Pieces of broken pottery, tiles, beads, marbles, beach glass, coins, shells, buttons, old jewels or charms
• Ceramic tile grout (available at hardware stores)
• Plastic knife
• Terra-cotta plant pot (or a plastic one will do)
• Sponge

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cover the work area with newspaper. Before starting to decorate the pot, sort through the pottery pieces and tiles and discard any that have sharp edges
(an adult’s job).
2. Spread a thick layer of tile grout onto the plant pot with the plastic knife.
3. Then start to decorate your pot! Press the buttons, beads, tile pieces and anything else you have found into the wet grout.
4. Wipe any excess grout off the jewles and beads with a sponge or tissue.
5. Wash your hands and you’re done!

Jenny from Parsley Pie Art Club shows us how to make three funky Christmas card designs. Using simple techniques you will have lots of fun making personalized cards for all your family and friends!

1. 3D Reindeer card

MATERIALS:
Brown poster paint
Red, black and white poster paint or if you can get them use craft googly eyes and brown and red mini pom-poms
Plain note cards or coloured card
Glue
Twigs from your garden or the park! (these are for the antlers so need to quite small and thin)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Use your thumb to stamp 3 reindeer heads on each card.
2. Next, glue on googly eyes and pom-pom noses, use a red one for Rudolph! Or use the red, black and white poster paint to paint on the eyes & noses
3. Finish by sticking on the twigs for antlers!

2. bauble photo card

MATERIALS:
Pencil and ruler
Scissors
Coloured card
Jam jar lid, about 3 inches in diameter
Decorative string, wool or thin elastic cording
Shiny paper
Glue
Glitter
Photo

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. For each card, measure and cut a 9- by 4-inch piece of coloured card and fold it in half. Starting at the fold, draw a simple ornament shape, tracing around the jar lid to create the round portion. Cut out the ornament, going through both layers but leaving the fold intact.
2. Open up the cutout and lay a 9-inch length of string or cording across the crease, as shown.
3. Apply glue to the paper just below it, refold the paper, and tie the string ends together to form a hanging loop.
4. Cut a square from the shiny paper to fold over the top of the ornament shape. Stick it in place with glue. Decorate the outside with glitter then glue a photo, trimmed to fit, inside the card!

3. Messy hand Santa card

MATERIALS:
Plain note cards or coloured card
Red paper (or use white paper and paint red)
Glue
Poster paints, red, white, pink, black (for pink mix red and white)
Paper plates or paint palates
Googly eyes
Cotton wool

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut Santa-hat shapes (minus the pom-poms and white trim) from the red paper, then glue one onto each card.
2.Glue a pair of googly eyes a fingertip’s width below each hat or paint on the eyes
3. Pour white paint onto one paper plate, and a dollop each of red, black, and pink onto another.
4. Stamp white handprint beards, then use fingertips to stamp the trim on the hats, and a nose, mouth, and cheeks on each face. or use cotton wool for the trim of the hat!
5. If you have some spare glitter make your Santa sparkle by adding glitter to his hat!
