The Parsley Pie Art Club was established in 2001 and has helped and guided
countless children form all over the Cheshire with their creative enjoyment.
It is the only children's art club for the over 5's in this area!
I really enjoy passing on my skills, knowledge and inspirations to others in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. My aims at the Parsley Pie Art Club are for the children to explore and develop their creativity, learn different art and craft skills, improve their confidence, explore their imaginations and have fun in a safe environment. I am there to help, advise and guide the children. I demonstrate to them the skills which will enable them to reach their creative/artistic goals. I provide them with as much structure as they need without taking over!
The children are able to work on whatever subjects they want to in a variety of mediums. There are no set rules! I encourage freedom of expression and this has produced brilliant results! I like my "pupils" to paint/create the things they are interested in. It helps the creative process and their determination if they are passionate about the subject they are going to be working on! I strive to encourage the children to use their imaginations as much as possible, explore their ideas and to use their own initiative.
While I feel that some of the most important traits to have are inspiration, passion, imagination and motivation, there are certain techniques and skills that can be taught. The teaching of painting and clay work techniques, craft work and drawing skills opens up a vast realm of creative possibilities and improves their confidence. The Parsley Pie Art Club gives the children a great opportunity to develop their ideas and art skills and learn new skills. The lessons are held in small groups so the children are guaranteed plenty of individual attention. (One to One lessons are also available, see below or contact me for details).
The Parsley Pie Art Club is a great out of school activity because the children can come and have fun, learn and make new friends with flexible lesson times after school, on Saturdays and in the school holidays, all year round. See information below or contact me for further details.
I hold regular exhibitions for the children at the local public library in Hale Village in Cheshire. It gives children as young as five, the chance to show their creations. The children get really excited about the exhibitions and it gives them a real joy to see their work on display! The Parsley Pie Art Club and some of the children were recently featured in Cheshire Life magazine.
I know from talking to both parents and children that in many schools, due to the high proportion of time used for the necessary academic lessons, it is unfortunate that a lot of children have little time in school to do creative subjects such as art. After being asked by some of the parents, I have recently started doing childrens' art parties for birthday celebrations which have proved to be great fun and very successful!
I have held many workshops in local schools, taught children privately in hospitals and I have worked at a nursery school as an art and craft teacher. I also teach several children who have special needs. (I have been police checked to work with children and a copy of my "Enhanced Disclosure" form is available to you on request).

Lesson Prices & Information for Children aged 5 - 18 years
Lesson Prices
One 2 one lesson = £15.00, per hour
Two children or more in group = £10.00 per child per hour (maximum of
6 per group)
Prices include all basic art materials & aprons are provided.
One hour lesson free! When you PAY FOR
7 ART lessons in advance. Extra discount if you bring more
than one child!
School Holiday Special! 2 hour lesson
£15.00 per child. (Pay each time you come, please note this offer excludes
pre-paid lessons).
Pre paid lessons are valid for 12 weeks only from the date of the first
art lesson
Please note, there are NO refunds on pre paid lessons.
**Cancelling a lesson**
If you need to cancel an art lesson, please do so as soon as
possible. If the lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice you will
be subject to pay a cancellation fee.
The cancellation fee is the full price of the lesson time you have booked
for.
Pre paid lessons that are missed with less than 24 hours notice will be counted
as an attended lesson.
(Please note: If you
have booked a time slot and cannot stay for the full time allocated to you,
you will be charged for the full price of the lesson times you booked for.
I will need to be notified by the parent if the parent is going to be late
collecting a child; if over half an hour late, there will an extra lesson
fee to pay. If I am unable to make it to an art lesson, I will let you know
as soon as possible and we can rearrange another convenient time).

PARSLEY PIE ART PARTIES!
At Studio: minimum 4 children, maximum 6 children for minimum 2 hours
£15.00 per child for two hours
Away from studio: minimum 6 children, maximum 15 children for minimum 2 hours
£15.00 per child for two hours
10+ children price reduces to: £13.50 per child for 2 hours.
Please note: If the art party is being held away from the studio and is not
local, a travel fee will be added. A non returnable deposit of 50% of the
total party cost will be required at least 4 weeks in advance.
